Have you ever pushed the reset button on an electronic device – maybe on your phone or your computer? (Do you remember the dreaded “blue screen of death” on Windows computers? That screen is why I only use a Mac!) Why did you reset the device? Most likely because it had stopped responding to your commands. It wasn’t doing anything you asked it to do, and was stuck trying to complete some task you’d given it.
Have you ever wanted to reset your spiritual life? Have you ever felt as though you weren’t doing anything God wanted you to do? That you’d stopped responding to His commands? That you were stuck doing the same things over and over? Have you felt as though you needed to start over, but you didn’t know how to do that?
If so, you’ll want to join us for RE:SET. In 2017, we are, as it were, going to get our reset buttons pushed. We are getting rebooted! We are going back to the basics, to make sure we understand what God’s vision is for the North Church, and to carry out that vision.
The good thing about the reset button is that it gives a new start; it gives new life. A device that needs to be reset isn’t broken; it doesn’t need to be thrown away. It’s still perfectly useful and capable of working as it was designed to work! All it needs is a chance to start over – a fresh start.
Come join us for the next few weeks as we RE:SET!
